Child Labour  Paragraph

Children from 8 to 12 years of age engaged in physical or mental labour is called child labour. Those who are below twelve but engaged in heavy work not suitable for them are the child labourers. For increasing our huge population and decreasing cultivable lands, the cultivators are becoming poorer and poorer day by day. They find it difficult to maintain their families. So, these people have to engage their children in physical labour from a very early age. Sometimes they are engaged to work in the field. Sometimes they are seen to break brick and stones. Some are found to work as Street hawkers, rickshaw pullers and cleaners. Though labour is sacred, child labour is a crime. Sometime they have to work for 15 to 18 hours a day, which is very harmful to their health. They are not allowed for recreation. Very often they are punished cruelly. In fact, they are not treated as human beings. At the growing age they suffer from malnutrition. Sometimes they suffer from various diseases and die without treatment. So, the government should take proper steps to solve this great problem. And primary Education should be made compulsory for children. Child labour should be stopped by law.
